4 tbsp organic wheat flour
1tsp each salt, garlic powder, onion powder and dried thyme
2 cups grated spicy Monterey jack cheese
500 ml whipping cream, warmed
Melt butter in saucepan over medium high heat. Mix flour and spices together before adding to hot butter. Cook for a few minutes until raw flour smell is cooked out and the flour darkens. Whisk warm cream into flour, cook for a few minutes allowing the sauce to thicken. Lower temperature and melt the shredded cheese. Continue stirring until all cheese is melted. This sauce can always be reheated at a low temp, on the stove top. Microwaves will cause the sauce to separate. Try this with nachos or tacos, its sure to make any meal feel special!
